11/18/2012 - KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss (AFNS) -- One person is dead and one injured after an incident near Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Today at approximately 8:15 a.m. there were reports of shots fired in the Keesler Family Campground area near Thrower Park that arose out of a domestic disturbance.

The scene was secured by first responders minutes later and Air Force Office of Special Investigations has now taken control of the scene and is conducting an initial investigation. This was an isolated incident and poses no threats to Keesler AFB's mission or resources.

To allow our first responders and investigators to conduct their work, please avoid the Keesler Family Campground area at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
