'Today's Air Force' reviews rescue at sea, Thunderbird memorial restoration

12/11/2012 - FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFNS)  -- Air Force Television News released a new edition of Today's Air Force on Dec. 10.

On this episode's "Straight from the Top," acting Undersecretary of the Air Force, Jamie Morin speaks about the importance of technological and organizational advances the Air Force has made in space.

Next, viewers join pararescuemen on a lifesaving mission in the pacific and take a look inside December's issue of Airman Magazine.

And finally, viewers meet the star of American Restoration as he brings back an iconic Thunderbird memorial.

This and other news in this week's line-up:

Block 1
-Straight from the Top: A message from acting Undersecretary of the Air Force, Jamie Morin.
-Super Guppy: This unique aircraft made a stop at March Air Reserve Base.
-PJ Rescue: A pararescueman from the 129th Air Rescue Wing talks about video footage that he and his teammates shot during a mission.
-Security outside the wire: One airman from the 455th ESFS speaks about his deployed experiences.

This 30-minute, bi-weekly news show can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel and American Forces Television Service stations around the world. The show also airs on more than 140 public cable-access stations within the United States.
