5/16/2013 - U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AFNS) -- Air Force athletes took home one gold, four silver and six bronze medals in the Warrior Games 2013 Track and Field competition at the Academy's Outdoor Track Stadium May 14.

Staff Sgt. Lara Ishikawa took first place in the Women's 100 Meter Open Relay, winning the Air Force's gold medal for the day.

Second place winners included:

- Ishikawa in the Women's 200 Meter Open Relay

- Chief Master Sgt. Damian Orslene in Men's Discus (other seated)

- Master Sgt. Shawn Schwantes in the Men's 1500 Meter Open Relay

- Retired Senior Airman Scott Palomino in the Men's 1500 Meter Relay Below the Knee (single and double).

Third place winners included:

- Tech. Sgt. Monica Figueroa in Women's Shot Put (open), and Women's Discus

- Tech. Sgt. Kevin Murphy in Men's Shot Put (open)

- Staff Sgt. Jason Caswell in Men's Shot Put (other ambulatory) ,and Men's Discus (other ambulatory)

- Orslene in Men's Shot Put (other seated) 

The medal count at the end of May 15 is as follows:
