4/8/2013 - FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFNS) -- A day in the life of the Air Force is as varied as the nearly 500,000 total force Airmen who make up the force. That force ranges from the pilots, crews, maintainers, firefighters and air traffic controllers on the flightline to the battlefield Airmen in harms way to the men and women who keep the Air Force machine running full blast.

The following slide show captures a glimpse of a single day, March 29, and is a compilation of images submitted by Airmen from around the globe.
