MAJOR GENERAL TIMOTHY J. MCMAHON Maj. Gen. Timothy J. McMahon is Commander, 20th Air Force, Air Force Space Command, and Commander, Task Force 214, U.S. Strategic Command, Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. He is responsible for the nation's ICBM force, including three operational space wings with more than 9,500 peopleGeneral McMahon entered the Air Force in 1970 after graduating from Quincy College in Quincy, Ill. He was commissioned through the Officer Training School in 1971. After missile operations duty at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base and Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., he held staff assignments at Strategic Air Command headquarters, the Air Staff, and at Air Force Space Command headquarters. General McMahon commanded the 13th Missile Warning Squadron at Clear Air Force Station, Alaska, the 21st Operations Group at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. He then returned to Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., as Deputy Director of Operations and Logistics with U.S. Strategic Command.
