Brig. Gen. John M. Allen is mobilization assistant to the Deputy to the Chief of Air Force Reserve, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.
General Allen entered the Air Force in 1977 as a distinguished graduate of the University of Florida ROTC program and completed pilot training in 1979. A command pilot with more than 4,700 flying hours, he has commanded a squadron and served as a vice wing commander. Prior to assuming his current position, he was an individual mobilization augmentee to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Reserve Affairs. As a civilian, he is in the Federal Aviation Administration Executive Service as the Deputy Director, Flight Standards Service.
