Major General ROBERT J. "HANK" WINNER

Maj. Gen. Robert J. "Hank" Winner is Deputy Inspector General, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, D.C. He assists in overseeing Air Force inspection policy; criminal investigations; counterintelligence operations; complaints and fraud, waste and abuse programs; intelligence oversight; and two field operating agencies - the Air Force Inspection Agency and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

General Winner was commissioned in 1963 as a distinguished graduate of Officer Training School. A command navigator with more than 9,500 flying hours, the general commanded an Air Force Reserve base and tactical airlift group. He also commanded three airlift wings, including the 302nd Airlift Wing during its Operation Desert Storm activation. His flying time has been principally in transport aircraft. He also served two tours as Inspector General for the Air Force Reserve.
