MAJOR GENERAL DIXIE A. MORROW

Maj. Gen. Dixie A. Morrow is the Mobilization Assistant to The Judge Advocate General of the Air Force, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. In that capacity, Gen. Morrow assists The Judge Advocate General as the Legal Advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force and all officers and agencies of the Department of the Air Force. She assists in directing all judge advocates in the performance of their duties with more than 2,200 judge advocates, 350 civilian attorneys, 1,400 enlisted paralegals and 500 civilians in the total force Judge Advocate General’s Corps worldwide.

 Morrow was commissioned through AFROTC and entered active duty in 1983 following an educational delay to complete law school. During over eight years of active duty service, General Morrow served in a variety of legal assignments, to include wing Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, Circuit and Chief Circuit Trial Counsel, and AFJAGS Instructor. General Morrow separated from active duty in April 1991 and joined the United States Air Force Reserve. She has served at center, numbered air force, major command and headquarters assignments, and as a Reserve Military Judge and the Chief Reserve Military Judge. General Morrow was ordered to active duty as the Commander, Air Force Legal Operations Agency and to deploy as the Deputy Coordinating Director for Rule of Law and Law Enforcement, U.S. Embassy Kabul, Afghanistan. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Eleventh and Fifth Circuits, the Supreme Courts of Florida and Texas, the Superior Court of Georgia, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
