Nancy K. Andrews, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of Administration and Management to the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this capacity, she performs high-level assignments following the Secretary's policies, goals, and objectives. Ms. Andrews oversees the execution and programming of the Headquarters U.S. Air Force portfolio with an annual budget of $5.6 billion and 37,000 personnel. She administratively manages and supports the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, its 1,650-member Secretariat and 2,400-member supported field operating agencies to include manpower, personnel, organization, budget, supply, and the Secretary's contingency fund.
Additionally, Ms. Andrews is responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Air Force business operations. She advises Air Force senior leadership on establishing strategic performance goals and managing Air Force-wide cross-functional activities to meet those goals. She also serves as the Air Force’s Director of Business Transformation, overseeing implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives Air Force wide.
Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Andrews served as the Department of the Air Force Senior Service Manager and Program Executive Officer for Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition. She provided leadership in the acquisition of Air Force services and was responsible for a portfolio of more than $164 billion in existing and planned contracts across the department. She has also served in a wide variety of contracting assignments for Space and Missile Systems Center, National Reconnaissance Office, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Electronics Systems Center, and Air Force Sustainment Center.
