Major General WENDY K. JOHNSON

Maj. Gen. Wendy K. Johnson is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She assists the Commander and staff on issues impacting the Air National Guard related to warfighter support achieved through leading-edge science and technology, cradle-to-grave life cycle weapon systems management, world-class developmental test and evaluation and world-class depot maintenance and supply chain management.

Maj. Gen. Johnson was commissioned in 1988 at the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. Her assignments include command at the flight, squadron and group levels. Her deployment history includes multiple deployments as a logistics readiness officer. She also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as Deputy Air Reserve Component Advisor for Air Force Central Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and in support of Operation Unified Protector as the 313th Air Expeditionary Wing’s Mission Support Group Commander, Moron Air Base, Spain. Prior to her current position, she was the Assistant Adjutant General-Air for the Nebraska National Guard, Lincoln, Nebraska, and served in a dual-hat role as Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB. Additionally, she is a Level III, joint qualified officer.
