Major General MITCHEL NEUROCK

Maj. Gen. Mitchel Neurock is performing the duties of The Judge Advocate General, Headquarters United States Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. Maj. Gen. Neurock advises the Secretary of the Air Force, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, the Chief of Space Operations, and all officers and agencies of the Department of the Air Force. He also provides professional oversight for more than 2,200 judge advocates, 350 civilian attorneys, 1,400 enlisted paralegals, and 500 civilians in The Judge Advocate General’s Corps, overseeing military justice, operations and international law, and civil law functions at all levels of Air Force and Space Force commands.

Maj. Gen. Neurock entered the Air Force in 1992 and served on active duty at Air Force wings in the United States and abroad, as well as at the Government Trial and Appellate Counsel Division in Washington, D.C. Upon leaving active duty in 1998, Maj. Gen. Neurock continued his service in the Air Force Reserve, with assignments at the wing, numbered air force, major command and Air Staff levels. Maj. Gen. Neurock previously returned to active duty to serve as the Air Reserve Component Advisor to The Judge Advocate General, Director of Military Justice and Discipline, and Director of Operations and International Law. In 2021, Maj. Gen. Neurock was assigned as the Mobilization Assistant to The Judge Advocate General, leading the Corps’ legal professionals in the Air Force Reserve.
