Lieutenant General DAVID R. IVERSON

Lt. Gen. David R. Iverson is Deputy Commander, U.S. Forces Korea; Commander, Air Component Command, United Nations Command; Commander, Combined Air Component Command, Combined Forces Command; and Commander, Seventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, South Korea. He is also the U.S. representative to the joint committee for the Status of Forces agreement between the two countries.

Lt. Gen. Iverson received his commission in 1991 through the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Virginia. Following EURO-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, he was assigned to fly the F-15E Strike Eagle. He has served in various flying duties, including Evaluator and Instructor, Flight Commander, Chief of Weapons, Director of Operations, and Commander at the squadron, group, and wing levels. He also served as the Congressional Legislative Liaison and the 609th Air and Space Operations Center Commander, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Director of Air and Cyberspace Operations, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

Lt. Gen. Iverson is a command pilot with more than 5,400 flying hours, with over 1500 combat hours earned during operations Deny Flight, Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve.
