Jamie Brooke Forseth, a member of the Senior Executive Service, serves as Director of Global Strategy and Senior Advisor to the 25th Secretary of the Air Force Barbara M. Barrett. In this position, Ms. Forseth provides actionable policy and implementation guidance on the secretary's strategic priorities spanning space, modernization, global alliances, and people. She is responsible for integrating these priorities across the Department of the Air Force to build and sustain air, space, and cyber forces in alignment with national defense objectives.
Ms. Forseth has held several public and commercial sector leadership positions assessing dynamic landscapes and implementing effective responses. Most recently, Ms. Forseth was a partner and head of credit research at Whitehaven Asset Management, a New York-based alternative investment manager focusing on the $3.8 trillion U.S. municipal bond market. She previously was at Goldman Sachs & Co. where she led U.S. municipal credit research strategy assessing city and state risk profiles, helped manage investments on the municipal bond trading desk, and advised on global developments and domestic policy.
Earlier she served as the ambassador's personal chief of staff in the U.S. Embassy Helsinki where she chaired the Ambassador's Interagency Strategic Outreach Action Team developing public diplomacy programming and implementing economic, education, energy, defense, and technology policy initiatives.
Ms. Forseth was a U.S. National Security Education Program David L. Boren Scholar to Poland and a charter member of the National Language Service Corps. She graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with four bachelor’s degrees in political science, English literature, integrated Polish studies, and violin performance. She also holds a master’s from Arizona State University in political theory and a Master of Business Administration from Yale School of Management.
