Brigadier General PRESTON F. McFARREN Brig. Gen. Preston F. McFarren is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He assists the Commander in leading the daily operations of the command, consisting of 70,000 Airmen, and more than 300 aircraft assigned to three Numbered Air Forces, 34 flying wings, 10 flying groups a space wing, a cyber wing and an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance wing. Air Force Reserve Command supports the Air Force mission to defend the U.S. through control and exploitation of air, space and cyberspace by supporting global engagement. Brig. Gen. McFarren earned his Air Force commission in 1991 as a graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps from the University of Texas at Austin. A career logistician, Brig. Gen. McFarren has served in logistics, training and operational planning roles in a variety of organizations. He has over 11 years of command experience and has served in numerous positions at the joint and higher headquarters level. He assumed his current position in June 2025. Prior to his current role, Brig. Gen. McFarren served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Sustainment Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
