Brigadier General DAVID A. DOSS

Brig. Gen. David A. Doss is the Deputy Director of Plans and Policy (J5), United States Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He leads over 140 military and Defense Department civilians, eight contractors and four foreign national liaison officers in their activities pertaining to the implementation of national security policy decisions and the development of the nation’s global deterrence and strike war plans. Additionally, Brig. Gen. Doss interfaces with Department of Energy and the National Labs to ensure a safe and reliable nuclear weapons stockpile.

Brig. Gen. Doss commissioned in 1995 from the Virginia Military Institute. He has held multiple flying and staff positions as an instructor and evaluator B-1 Weapon Systems Officer, including Commander, 77th Weapons Squadron, Deputy Commander, 379th Air Expeditionary Group, Vice Commander, 7th Bomb Wing and Commander, 28th Bomb Wing. Additional staff tours include Air Combat Command, the Air Staff, U.S. Forces Korea, 608th Air Operations Center, and Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command. Brig. Gen. Doss has participated in operations Desert Fox, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
