Major General Lori C. Jones

Maj. Gen. Lori C. Jones is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Sixteenth Air Force; Commander, Air Forces Cyber; and Commander, Joint Forces Headquarters-Cyber (Air Force), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. In this role, she assists the Commander in delivering multi-source intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products, applications, capabilities and resources. Additionally, the organization builds, extends, operates, secures and defends the Air Force portion of the Department of Defense global network. Furthermore, Joint Forces Headquarters-Cyber (Air Force) personnel perform operational planning as part of coordinated efforts to support Air Force component and combatant commanders and, upon approval of the President and/or Secretary of Defense, the execution of offensive cyberspace operations.

Maj. Gen. Jones was commissioned through Officer Training School in November 1993 and was a member of the first class to be commissioned at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. She completed Information Management Officer Training in 1994 and Basic Communications Officer Training as a distinguished graduate in 1998, both at Keesler AFB, Mississippi. Maj. Gen. Jones served nearly nine years on active duty before joining the Air Force Reserves in 2002. Maj. Gen. Jones has served various assignments at the wing, higher headquarters and joint levels.

Prior to her current assignment, the general was the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, where she served as an advisor on cyberspace operations and information warfare capabilities across the organization.
