Brigadier General JASON E. CORROTHERS

Brig. Gen. Jason E. Corrothers is the Director, Budget Operations and Personnel, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Budget, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. He is responsible for planning and directing the execution of the Department of the Air Force’s Operations and Maintenance and Military Personnel budgets. Collectively, these budgets total more than $110 billion annually. He leads a team of military and civilian budget professionals who develop, integrate, and justify readiness and personnel budgets for the Department of the Air Force and defend the Department of the Air Force budget requirements as they are addressed by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Office of Management and Budget and Congress.

Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Corrothers served as the Director of Financial Management and Comptroller for Pacific Air Forces. He has multiple joint deployments, including service in Iraq, Afghanistan and with the Joint Improvised Explosive Defeat Organization. Brig. Gen. Corrothers has held multiple commands, most recently commanding the 737th Training Group at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas – the Air Force’s only basic military training organization, comprised of nine squadrons and more than 8,000 personnel. In addition to his depth of experience as a comptroller, he is also a former congressional liaison, senior military assistant and assignments officer.
