JULIA J. MUEDEKING

Ms. Julia J. Muedeking, a member of the Senior Executive Service, serves as the Deputy General Counsel (Intelligence, International, and
Military Affairs) of the U.S. Department of the Air Force at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, she provides legal advice to the Secretary of the Air Force, Assistant Secretaries, the General Counsel, and other officials assigned to the Department of the Air Force on matters pertaining to intelligence and national security, international law, space and cyberspace, military personnel law, and investigations of major importance.

Prior to this position, Ms. Muedeking served as the Assistant Deputy General Counsel (Intelligence, International, and Military Affairs) of the U.S. Department of the Air Force at the Pentagon. Ms. Muedeking is a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Her previous military assignments include service as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, 90th Space Wing, F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming; Staff Judge Advocate, Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; Counsel, Office of the Air Force General Counsel, Washington, D.C.; Individual Mobilization Augmentee as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, 436th Air Wing, Dover AFB, Delaware; Individual Mobilization Augmentee as Executive Officer to AFLOA Commander, Andrews AFB, Maryland; Deputy Legal Counsel, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, D.C.; and presently she is assigned as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the SJA, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB.
