Brig. Gen. James V. Hewitt is the Deputy Director of Current Operations for United States Cyber Command. He is responsible for advising the Director of Operations and the Commander regarding the global and dynamic employment of Cyber Mission Forces and the daily operations of Department of Defense networks. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Hewitt served as the Director, Legislative Liaison Office for United States Cyber Command.
Brig. Gen. Hewitt was commissioned through Officer Training School in 1998. He is a career Cyber Operations Officer and has deployed in support of operations Joint Forge, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Brig. Gen. Hewitt has served in a variety of organizations and leadership positions at the squadron, group, wing, agency, Air Staff and Joint Staff levels.
