Lee M. Seversky, a member of the scientific and professional cadre of senior executives, is the Senior Scientist for Information Superiority, Information Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y. He serves as the principal scientific authority responsible for planning, conducting, evaluating, coordinating, applied research to achieve Information Superiority across the Department of the Air Force in partnership with key DoD and external stakeholders.
Dr. Seversky began his career with the Air Force in 2008 at the Information Directorate leading the Complex Network and Information Research team focused on advancing fundamental networking and information sciences in collaboration with the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and universities across the nation. In 2016, he became the AFRL Autonomy, Command and Control (C2) and Decision Support Portfolio Lead, overseeing a $125M research and development portfolio with 60 scientists and engineers. In this, role, Dr. Seversky made strategic investments in artificial intelligence, machine learning, multi-domain planning systems and complex systems to develop and deliver advanced C2 capabilities for the AF. Dr. Seversky actively participates in multiple international activities to further collaboration and interoperability of AI systems and tools.
