Dr. Jason Parker, a member of the scientific and professional cadre of senior executives, is the Chief Scientist for the Systems Technology Office at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He specializes in the tailored science and technology needed to provide superior warfighting capabilities to the U.S. Air and Space combat forces across a wide range of missions. Dr. Parker serves as the STO’s principal scientific and technical advisor and is responsible for the technical direction, content, and quality of a broad, advanced technology portfolio that delivers war-winning capabilities in the air, space and cyber domains.
Dr. Parker began his career as an Air Force civilian in 2006 when he joined AFRL’s Sensors Directorate as a Research Engineer. Most recently he has served as STO Chief Engineer and previously as the Chief Engineer for a STO division where he built an extensive network of collaborative relationships across the Department of the Air Force, Department of Defense, industry and the broader technical ecosystem. His technical leadership and world class contributions in sensing, adaptive signal processing, lethality and survivability have led to technology transition for a variety of military applications. Throughout his career, he has served as principal investigator or team lead for numerous in-house activities and major multi-organization programs. Dr. Parker is an internationally recognized scientific expert and provides authoritative counsel and advice to AFRL management and the professional staff as well as to other government organizations. In addition, he participates in numerous national panels, committees, taskforces and working groups.
