Roger L. Harms II

Mr. Roger Harms, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is serving as the Deputy Director of Logistics, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Harms assists the Director in organizing, training and equipping more than 180,000 logisticians who maintain and support mission generation and the U.S. Air Force's aerospace weapons system inventory. Mr. Harms assists with providing strategic guidance for materiel management, fuels, vehicle operations and management, deployment and distribution, personal property, traffic management and logistics plans. The directorate develops policy and oversees force development for logistics readiness, maintenance and munitions, ensuring the readiness of the single largest element of manpower supporting Air Force combat forces globally.  

Prior to his current position, Mr. Harms was the Deputy Director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He assisted the Director in the leadership, management and integration of total-force logistics, engineering and force protection activities across the global mobility air force enterprise. Mr. Harms entered the Air Force in July 1990 and served on active duty for 26 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
