Brigadier General CHAD R. W. BIEHL

Brig. Gen. Chad R. W. Biehl is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Operations, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida. The directorate is responsible for implementing and directing operational command policy for AFSOC’s worldwide special operations units including 20,800 personnel, nine wings, approximately 300 aircraft, and $17 billion in assets.

Brig. Gen. Biehl is a 1997 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Colorado, and was commissioned through Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 90. His past assignments are as a Mobilization Assistant, Wing Vice Commander, Squadron Commander, and various joint assignments at U.S. Transportation Command. His operational background is in Air Force special operations.

Brig. Gen. Biehl is a senior pilot with more than 3,000 military flight hours, including 260 combat sorties and 540 combat hours. He has multiple worldwide deployments in support of operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Enduring Freedom - Horn of Africa and Iraqi Freedom and has an extensive background commanding global special operations combat missions.
