Jeffrey C. Richardson, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary of the Air Force. He serves as the senior civilian to the Under Secretary and advises the Under Secretary on policy, personnel, and political matters. He is responsible for overseeing the execution and progress of the Under Secretary’s goals and objectives throughout the Department of the Air Force.
In this role, he is also responsible for interfacing on behalf of the Under Secretary with White House, Office of the Secretary of War, military services, senior civilian leaders and interagency partners.
Mr. Richardson has nearly two decades of logistic, project management, and analytical experience within the Department of War. Prior to his appointment, he served the Department working in a Counterdrug Program, where he leveraged cutting edge technology against dynamic drug related challenges, ensuring community safety and the preservation of national security.
Mr. Richardson is a proud member of the Army National Guard. He entered the National Guard in 2008 and has served as both a traditional Guardsman, Technician, and member of the Active Guard Reserve program. During this time, he has filled key positions supporting Combat Engineer, Military Police and Military Intelligence units at the company, battalion and state levels.
