Brig. Gen. Kevin M. Jamieson is the Deputy Chief of Staff Operations at NATO’s Headquarters Allied Air Command, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. In this capacity, Brig. Gen. Jamieson is responsible for all operational related matters, including air policing, ballistic missile defense, Article 5 and crisis response operations. In addition, Brig. Gen. Jamieson is the Joint Forces Air Component director who is responsible for establishing suitable Command and Control, to operate as a Joint Task Force if so, directed by SACEUR and is the Air C2 competency organization for the Alliance.
Brig. Gen. Jamieson was commissioned in 2000 through the U. S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research. After completing pilot training as a distinguished graduate, he flew in operational fighter assignments in Air Combat Command and Pacific Air Forces. He has served as an instructor pilot, flight evaluator, weapons officer, weapons school instructor, squadron commander, wing commander and member of the Joint Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Brig. Gen. Jamieson has flown multiple combat missions and has participated in operations Iraqi Freedom, Noble Eagle and Alaska NORAD Region air sovereignty operations. He is a command pilot with more than 2,600 flying hours and is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School. Prior to his current position, Brig. Gen. Jamieson was the Deputy Director of Operations, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
