Ms. Patricia S. Wiegman-Lenz, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of the Air Force Materiel Command Law Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She leads a workforce of attorneys, paralegals and staff in providing acquisition law expertise to develop, deliver and support war-winning capabilities. She also oversees the centralized legal coordination for acquisition fraud issues within AFMC and legal aspects of intellectual property, patent issues and certain real estate issues Air Force-wide.
Ms. Wiegman-Lenz earned her Air Force commission through Officer Training School in 1995. After seven years as a Communications Officer, she separated from the Air Force to attend law school and re-entered active duty as a Judge Advocate in 2006. Ms. Wiegman-Lenz held a variety of leadership and staff positions including as the Staff Judge Advocate for the 52nd Fighter Wing, 66th Air Base Group, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for Space and Missile Systems Center, and Executive Officer to the Staff Judge Advocate for Air Force Materiel Command. Ms. Wiegman-Lenz also served as Chief of the Air Force’s Commercial Litigation Field Support Center and Air Force Chief Trial Attorney. In May 2025, Ms. Wiegman-Lenz retired at rank of colonel after more than 25 years of total service. Ms. Wiegman-Lenz was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in September 2025. Prior to her current position, Ms. Wiegman-Lenz served as the Chief of the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps’ Acquisition, Fiscal Law and Litigation Division at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
