Brig. Gen. Jeremiah Tucker serves as the Deputy Director, Joint Forces Development and Training (J7), Headquarters United States Space Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. USSPACECOM is one of 11 unified combatant commands under the Department of War responsible for deterring conflict and defending U.S. and allied freedom of action in space. Brig. Gen. Tucker advises and assists the J7 Director in training and development of the force, directs and oversees experimentation efforts, and administrates Tier 1 exercises and lessons learned for and across combatant commands. In his previous assignment, Brig. Gen. Tucker served as 140th Wing Commander at Buckley SFB, Colorado, leading over 1,650 personnel in the execution of F-16C+ fighter, ground mobile missile warning, space electronic warfare and civil engineering missions.
Brig. Gen. Tucker earned his commission in 1999 from the Academy of Military Science in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from joint undergraduate pilot training at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and completed F-16 qualification training at Luke AFB, Arizona, before returning to the 120th Fighter Squadron at Buckley AFB, Colorado, Air National Guard, in 2001. The general has extensive combat, command, training, exchange and staff experience across multiple combatant commands, major commands and global theaters of operation.
Brig. Gen. Tucker’s previous assignments include the Colorado Air National Guard Director of Staff - Air, 140th Vice Wing Commander, the Senior Executive Officer to the Director of the Air National Guard, Commander - Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Test Center and the NGB/A8X Strategic Planning Division Chief.
