Brig. Gen. Christine C. Piper is the Mobilization Assistant to the Deputy Judge Advocate General, Headquarters Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. She is responsible for assisting the Deputy Judge Advocate General in the professional oversight of more than 2,200 judge advocates, 350 civilian attorneys, 1,400 enlisted paralegals, and 500 civilians in the Total Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps worldwide, overseeing military justice, operational and international law, and civil law functions at all levels of the Air Force and Space Force.
Brig. Gen. Piper entered the Air Force as a Judge Advocate in May 1997, obtaining her commission through direct appointment. While on active duty, she served as a deployed Staff Judge Advocate, Program Attorney, and Associate General Counsel. As a civilian Air Force attorney, Brig. Gen. Piper served as Chief, Plans and Programs, Headquarters, Acquisition Law and Litigation Directorate, and as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Commercial Litigation Field Support Center, Air Force Legal Operations Agency. As a Reservist, Brig. Gen. Piper served at the center, division, Numbered Air Force, major command, and Air Staff levels before assuming her current role. She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
