Brigadier General DAVID A. FAZENBAKER

Brig. Gen. David A. Fazenbaker is the Director of Strategy, Plans, Requirements and Programs, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He is responsible for force structure planning, programming, doctrine and requirements for the nation’s airlift and air refueling force.

Brig. Gen. Fazenbaker commissioned in 1998 through Reserve Officers’ Training Corps as a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He earned his pilot wings at Laughlin AFB, Texas and spent his early career as a First Assignment Instructor Pilot flying the C-17A. He commanded two airlift squadrons, an airlift wing, and has served in a variety of roles at on the Joint Staff, Headquarters Air Force, and U.S. Transportation Command.

Prior to his current assignment, the general served as the Deputy Director of Strategy, Plans, Requirements and Programs, Headquarters Air Mobility Command. The general is a Command Pilot with over 4,400 flying hours, more than 500 of those in combat.
