DR. ANNE L. GORNEY

Dr. Anne L. Gorney, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cost and Economics, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, Washington, D.C. Dr. Gorney is responsible for supporting the direction of all Department of the Air Force cost and economic analysis programs by providing cost, economic, financial and business case analyses to support resource allocation decisions as well as providing financial management oversight and analysis for Department of the Air Force nonappropriated funds.

Dr. Gorney is a retired colonel, having served for more than 25 years in the United States Air Force. In her military career, she was a warranted contracting officer and completed two tours as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the United States Air Force Academy. She held various staff assignments at the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency and at Headquarters Air Force in cost analysis and decision support including as the military assistant to the Auditor General. She completed her military career as Chief of the Total Force Integration Division, Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Programs.

Dr. Gorney began her civilian career with the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency, working in the Aircraft and Weapons Division and subsequently leading the Information Technology and Electronics Division providing independent, data-driven, non-advocate cost assessments for a variety of major weapon systems programs. Additionally, she was the first Director of Program Integration for the Department of the Air Force’s Program Assessment and Evaluation Office. Prior to her current assignment, she was the Director for Economics and Business Management in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cost and Economics.
