MAJOR GENERAL JOHN P. HEALY

Maj. Gen. John P. Healy is the Director of Exercises and Assessments (ECJ7) and Advisor on Reserve Component Affairs for U.S. European Command at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany. As the Director, ECJ7, he is responsible for the USEUCOM Joint Exercise program, readiness, and theater and operational assessments.

General Healy was commissioned through the ROTC program at the University of Connecticut in 1989. He completed Undergraduate Pilot Training in 1991 from Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The General was part of the initial cadre for the C-17 Globemaster III program, he has commanded a C-5 Galaxy squadron, and served as a Vice Wing Commander at Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts. Additionally, he has deployed as the Division Chief of Current Operations, to the U.S. Central Command Deployment and Distribution Operations Center, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Prior to his current position, General Healy served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, 618th Air Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center), at Scott AFB, Illinois. In his civilian capacity he is a captain with a major airline.
