BRIGADIER GENERAL RUSSELL P. REIMER

Brig. Gen. Russell P. Reimer is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The organization is the single center responsible for the total life cycle management of all aircraft, engines, munitions and electronic systems.

General Reimer is a native of Woodland, California. He received his commission in 1988 from the U.S. Air Force Academy. General Reimer flew as an E-3 AWACS Instructor Pilot at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, and Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. In 1997, he joined the 513th Air Control Group, the Air Force's only E-3 AWACS reserve unit. During the assignment, General Reimer served as Director of Operations and Squadron Commander.

He has served as the Group Commander of the 413th Flight Test Group, Robins AFB, Georgia. During that assignment, he was responsible for providing qualified aircrew to conduct functional and acceptance check flights on non-airworthy aircraft upon completion of depot-level maintenance at seven geographically dispersed units. Prior to assuming his current position, General Reimer served as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Test Center, Edwards AFB, California.

General Reimer is a command pilot with more than 5,000 flying hours, including combat flight time while mobilized for Operation Iraqi Freedom. In his civilian occupation, he is a pilot with a major commercial airline.
