Republic of Korea Marines with 1st Assault Amphibian Vehicle Battalion, 1st Marine Division, launch Amphibious Assault Vehicles (KAAV7A1) from Republic of Korea Ship (ROKS), Go Jun Bong (LST-683), on White Beach, Republic of Korea during Exercise Ssang Yong 2014 on April 3. Exercise Ssang Yong is conducted annually in the Republic of Korea (ROK) to enhance the interoperability of U.S. and ROK forces by performing a full spectrum of amphibious operations while showcasing sea-based power projection in the Pacific.
