Accelerate Change: Empowered Airmen

We live in a world that is driven by rapidly changing technology and an environment that includes aggressive and capable global competitors. Airmen are key to cutting unnecessary bureaucracy, recognizing and understanding our competition, and thinking of creative ways we can reshape the design of our Air Force. The Air Force must accelerate, must change, and must prepare for the future!

This page is dedicated towards highlighting the accomplishments of our talented Airmen at all levels and to show the impact they can make when they are informed and empowered to problem solve and make smart recommendations and decisions.

Chain of Custody of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Marshall F. Kipina
Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency
Oct. 15, 2018 | 5:42
A chain of custody ceremony was recently held at the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Oct. 15, 2018. U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Justin Kent, cousin in law of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Marshall F. Kipina, arrives at DPAA to receive Kipina’s remains. Staff Sgt. Kipina went missing in action (MIA) in July, 1966, when his aircraft went missing during a night surveillance mission from Phu Bai Airfield over Attapu Province, Laos People’s Democratic Republic. The remains will be transported to Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, where he will be buried with full military honors. DPAA conducts global search, recovery, and laboratory operations to provide the fullest possible accounting for our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Army video by Sgt.
