Accelerate Change: Empowered Airmen

We live in a world that is driven by rapidly changing technology and an environment that includes aggressive and capable global competitors. Airmen are key to cutting unnecessary bureaucracy, recognizing and understanding our competition, and thinking of creative ways we can reshape the design of our Air Force. The Air Force must accelerate, must change, and must prepare for the future!

This page is dedicated towards highlighting the accomplishments of our talented Airmen at all levels and to show the impact they can make when they are informed and empowered to problem solve and make smart recommendations and decisions.

June 14, 2018 | 1:29
How do you celebrate a two hundred and forty third birthday? If you are Maj. Gen. Kirk Vollmecke, the Program Executive Officer for Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors, you and your staff pay a visit to the Perry Point Veterans Administration Medical Center, to visit with the previous generations who have held the banner of The Army. PEO IEW&S was supported this year from the army test and evaluation center, the Baltimore City Police, the Aberdeen Proving Ground Police, students of the Maryland Free State Challenge Academy and other members of the Aberdeen Proving Community.
