Jahmar Everette, a Cannon Crewmember with 1st Cavalry Division Artillery, explains why he chose to serve in the U.S. Army while deployed with Task Force Pegasus on Camp Adazi, Latvia June 10, 2024. Everette, originally from Chicago, Illinois, has served 11 months as a U.S. Army Trooper. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
