Jim Schreiner discusses the broad inter-agency partnership and strategy aimed at combating aquatic nuisance species, such as Asian carp, to include operating the electric barriers in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal and conducting the Great lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study that examines controls that could be applied to prevent ANS transfer between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins through aquatic pathways.
