Accelerate Change: Empowered Airmen

We live in a world that is driven by rapidly changing technology and an environment that includes aggressive and capable global competitors. Airmen are key to cutting unnecessary bureaucracy, recognizing and understanding our competition, and thinking of creative ways we can reshape the design of our Air Force. The Air Force must accelerate, must change, and must prepare for the future!

This page is dedicated towards highlighting the accomplishments of our talented Airmen at all levels and to show the impact they can make when they are informed and empowered to problem solve and make smart recommendations and decisions.

Battleship Wisconsin Silver Segment for Navy Week Madison 2020: Version Two
Hampton Roads Naval Museum
July 1, 2020 | 3:50
Version Two. A short video segment produced by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum for Navy Week in Madison, Wisconsin. This segment includes organic b-roll footage of the Wisconsin Silver Set along with stabilized drone footage and archived imagery. The ornate silver set, which includes 35 pieces of silver was originally presented by the People of Wisconsin to the first USS Wisconsin (BB 9) in 1901. After the battleship was decommissioned, it was presented again in 1943 to the second USS Wisconsin (BB 64); which is now a museum ship berthed next to the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and the Nauticus campus in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. The silver set was accessioned by the Naval History & Heritage Command after Wisconsin’s final decommissioning in 1991. An introduction segment is included with Museum Educator, Matthew Headrick.
