Additionally, Captain Carl Zimmerman interviews Chaplain Joseph Murphy and Captain John Rock, a former company commander with the 1st Cavalry Division. Chaplain Murphy talks about his experiences and responsibilities overseas, tending to the religious needs of the soldiers and holding mass under fire. Captain Rock explains how the Army’s Information and Education Program worked to make U.S. soldiers “the best-informed [soldiers] in the world.”
