3-level fuels specialist pumps 3 million gallons
Airman 1st Class Hazen Sanders set a new Ramstein Air Base record in September 2007 when he pumped more than 3.1 million gallons of JP-8 fuel into 187 aircraft at the base in Germany. One of the most junior members in the 435th Logistics Readiness Squadron, the 20-year-old fuels specialist from Dermott, Ark., is still in upgrade training as a 3-skill-level apprentice. He said he was inspired to attempt the milestone after co-workers began telling him it was impossible. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Scott Wagers)
