Humanitarian mission impacts team, residents
Master Sgt. Bob Woods watches a member of the Vanuatu police force perform basic life support techniques on a manikin July 25 on the island nation of Vanuatu. Sergeant Woods is an independent duty medical technician from the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command from Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. He was part of a team that taught basic life support and self-aid buddy care to police, immigrations and customs, and paramedics . The team was part of the Oceania Humanitarian Assistance Mission that brought medical, dental and engineering personnel to perform civil assistance projects on Vanuatu, Kiribati and Nauru.
