Kadena school teacher thanks his military medical heroes

Capt. Jeannette Ward (left) talks with Jim and Marite Brierly about where Mr. Brierly's medical evacuation litter was on a KC-135 Stratotanker May 2 at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Captain Ward was part of the team that treated and medically evacuated Mr. Brierly to Hawaii after he suffered a major heart attack March 30, 2006. Mr. and Mrs. Brierly visited the units to thank them for their efforts. Mr. Brierly is a English as a second language teacher at Kadena Elementary School here.
