Kadena school teacher thanks his military medical heroes

Commander Troxel, Major Cole and Captain Ward were part of the team that treated and medically evacuated Mr. Brierly to Hawaii after he suffered a major heart attack March 30, 2006. Mr. and Mrs. Brierly visited the units to thank them for their efforts. Mr. Brierly is a English as a second language teacher at Kadena Elementary School here. Commander Troxel is the head of the emergency department at U.S. Navy Hospital-Okinawa. Major Cole is the 18th Medical Operations Squadron medical services flight commander and a critical care medical attendant team staff physician for pulmonary and critical care.
