Straight 'chute' to safety
An air traffic controller at Dover Air Force Base, Del., slides down a Baker Life Chute from the control tower March 8 during a fire drill as Airman Kyle Herron (from left), Airman 1st Class Darliska Blessing, Jeffrey McCombs and Tom Peers wait to help her safely exit from the chute. The life chute was installed on the tower's catwalk and is designed to allow controllers a safe descent to the ground level in the event of an emergency. The firefighters are from the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Kevin Wallace)
