Academy band spreads news in Big Apple

The Air Force Reserve Pipe Band marched with the U.S. Air Force Academy Band in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Nov. 23 in New York City despite heavy rains and near-freezing temperatures. Between two major networks the Macy's parade reaches an estimated 55 million people worldwide. The appearance was part of a five-day tour by the academy band, accompanied by the cadet chorale and falconers, in which it had five national television appearances. (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt.
