Honoring a hero: a son's final tribute to his father
Troy Curnutte looked high and low for an F-4D Phantom to help memorialize his father, Lt. Col. Bill Curnutte, a World War II and Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Curnutte found this Phantom, which his father actually flew from Da Nang Air Base, South Vietnam, for display at the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum in Tyler, Texas.
