HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Four-year-old Connor Tierney, with his parents, Staff Sgt. Jennifer Tierney and 2nd Lt. William Tierney, and his brother, Tyler, 8, was recently diagnosed with a rare lung disease called bronchiolitis obliterans. The disease was caused by treatments for the leukemia he was diagnosed with at 4 months old. Sergeant Tierney is the noncommissioned officer in charge of the 66th Medical Group's preventive dentistry flight here, and Lieutenant Tierney is assigned to the Electronic Systems Center's Joint STARS program office.
