Volunteers form critical link in the 'care chain'
Staff Sgt. Angelica Pinkney takes more than 30 first-time Patient Administration and Disposition volunteers on a tour of the Air Force Theater Hospital at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Oct. 22. The tour included areas where patients may need to be moved, such as the intensive care unit, intensive care ward and emergency room. Sergeant Pinkney, the night PAD boss for the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron and a native of Freeport, Texas, is deployed from Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
