Airman's Medal. Illustrated by Virginia Reyes of the Air Force News Agency. This image is 4x8 inches @ 200 ppi. The Soldier's Medal was approved by Congress on July 2, 1926, and was amended by Congress on July 6, 1960, amending Title 10 of the United States Code to provide the Air Force with authority to present a distinctive version of the Soldiers Medal to be known as the "Airman's Medal."
