Department-Level Exercise (DLE) Series

Through this series, the Department of the Air Force is preparing to be a stronger, more lethal deterrent force, to provide an advantage against competitors and adversaries across all domains, and to ensure regional stability in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.

The DLE series will incorporate multiple command exercises into one overall threat deterrence scenario, including Resolute Force Pacific (REFORPAC), Resolute Space, Mobility Guardian, Emerald Warrior and Bamboo Eagle 25-3.

It will also integrate multiple allies and partners in specific component exercises with shared interests. Partner integration is critical to U.S. efforts to ensure regional and global peace and stability and provides a decisive advantage against complex threats.

The Soldiers competing in the 2026 Arizona Army National Guard (AZ ARNG) Best Warrior Competition (BWC) demonstrate their technical and tactical proficiency in a series of stations. Each testing their knowledge of multiple individual weapons, combat lifesaving techniques, and calling in strikes on targets during day one of the BWC. All day-one events took place on Feb. 10, at the Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix, Ariz.

The 2026 AZ ARNG Best Warrior Competition measured each competitor's skills in Army Warrior Tasks, battle drills, physical fitness, and critical thinking, ensuring the Soldiers of the AZ ARNG are ready to expertly assume their role as the primary combat reserve of the United States Army, anytime, anywhere.
